Hey Casey,
Sorry for the long delay in getting this review out. I really wanted to wait until I had enough time to write a decent review, which was just not possible in the time span between the wedding and the honeymoon. Anyway, here is what I wrote. It's kind of long but from the heart. If you think it comes off as too overly-promotional or too lengthy then let me know. I always appreciate lengthy reviews before making big purchases but I know sometimes others don't.Thanks,

The BK Party Band did an AMAZING job at my wedding! They kept the dance floor packed all night and always seemed to play the right song at the right time. They had a very impressive repertoire of songs but if you have your heart set on a specific song like I did then they will eagerly learn it for you. They also excel at working with little direction, which was such a relief as I was stressing out over the other 100 aspects of planning the wedding! All I gave them for the reception was the introduction, first dance, father/daughter, and mother/son songs and they handled everything else!
Not only was my reception a hit, but BK also had a few members perform during the ceremony (keyboardist) and cocktail hour (guitarist + singer). I did give the keyboardist my song choices for the processional and recessional but I *completely* forgot to pick something out for the unity sand ceremony, which was not a problem at all because he ended up playing some beautiful & appropriate tune that I never would have found on my own. As for the guitarist, all I can say is that I will always remember how happy I was when I caught myself quietly singing along to the music only to look up and see others doing the same on *my* wedding day. We had the cocktail hour outside and between the beautiful weather and great music, I could not have imagined it going any better.
I was also very satisfied with how well BK coordinated with my venue. They fit their entire band *comfortably* into an otherwise small area by acquiring smaller sound equipment that was still able to handle the size of my ballroom and, more importantly, followed every rule my venue had regarding entertainers (no drinking, professional attire, proper insurance papers, not crossing the invisible line that divides band area from waiter pathway, etc). The BK band was willing to do whatever needed to be done to make sure my special day went off without a hitch!
If you are reading this review and thus considering a band for your wedding instead of a DJ, then you are probably of the same opinion as I am that a live band brings a level of energy to an event that a DJ never could. I had no doubts about hiring a band and I am thrilled to say that Big Kahuna Party Band completely exceeded my already-high expectations. I had people coming up to me the whole night telling me how great the music was and I'm sure you will too.
